Special needs students need individualized intervention centered on their strengths, an education that leads students to proximal zone development, to a maximum use of their potential, and learning experiences that facilitate community integration.
School Center for Inclusive Education “Hope” Zalau, special needs school, with legal personality regained since September 1st 2018, represents an efficient educational alternative for children and youth with disabilities from Salaj county. The school is subordinated to Salaj School County District, and funded by Salaj County Council.
Instructive, educational, recuperative activities are held in two separate locations from Zalau:
- Main location: Zalau, Crisan street, nr. 4
- Secondary location: Zalau. Salcamilor street, nr. 1
OUR VISION is centered to an inclusive community that values children with disabilities, and offers learning experiences needed for development and recovery, through adapted and individualized socio-educational services. Such a dynamic approach requires continuous communication with parents/caregivers of our students, and projects for growth of material base, for staff development, and inclusive activities for our students. Our aim targets educational progress.
OUR MISSION focuses on gaining independent skills and abilities for our special needs students, training them for an inclusive and tolerant community. For attaining this efficient role, school offers educational- therapeutic- recuperative programs for mild, medium, severe, associated intellectual disabilities, and sensorial disabilities, complex special needs intervention based on inclusive education principles, complex educational therapy programs, and also educational guiding for special needs children/ youth from regular schools or home schooling.
